Tying To A 12-Hole Bridge
When tying your guitar strings to a 12-hole bridge it is very important to secure the string properly and tie knots on the end of the strings. If you don’t do it correctly, the string can pull through the holes suddenly and “snap” onto the face of the guitar causing a “string mark” or small gouge in the face of the guitar.
Which is better – Cedar or Spruce?
The conventional view is that a cedar guitar top produces a warmer, fuller, mellower sound, and spruce produces a sharper, brighter sound with more clarity. Generally speaking, this is true, but with many individual exceptions.
